Police say yesterday's shooting at Waitarere Beach - was preceded by a family harm incident last Friday

Police say yesterday's shooting at Waitarere Beach - was preceded by a family harm incident last Friday

A 60-year-old man was found dead yesterday and a woman and two young men critically injured with gunshot wounds.

A child at the property was unharmed.

On January 9, a person was charged with assault on a person in a family relationship - and was due in court yesterday.

A 111 call was made hours before the shooting, and Police arrived and removed a dismantled unlicensed firearm stashed in a shed.

Later, after midnight, another "non-speech" 111 call was made.
