The dairy co-op's confirmed it's received all required regulatory approvals required to sell the Mainland Group - including Mainland and Anchor - to French company Lactalis for 4.22 billion dollars.
Farmer-shareholders voted last year to approve the deal.
They voted again this year to approve getting back two-dollars a share from the sale.
Fonterra's revealed it now expects the payment date to be April 14.
