A Queensland coroner says criminal charges could be laid against Dreamworld's owner - Ardent Leisure - after the 2016 tragedy that claimed four lives

A Queensland coroner says criminal charges could be laid against Dreamworld's owner - Ardent Leisure - after the 2016 tragedy that claimed four lives

He's also found no evidence Dreamworld ever conducted an engineering risk assessment on the Thunder River Rapids ride.

New Zealander Cindy Low was one of four people who died when the them park ride malfunctioned - and an inquiry last year unveiled a litany of issues -- including a lack of staff training.

The coroner's today concluded there was a systemic failure to ensure the safety of patrons -- and measures were 'frighteningly unsophisticated'.
