The university proposes its Albany campus will stop offering science degrees, from the end of this year.
Albany Student Association president Dallin Niuelua says they were left in the dark while the university made the decision.
He says students are one of the primary stakeholders at Massey, so it's surprising they weren't consulted.
Niuelua says if the students want to start a petition against the changes, they would support it.
