Parents and caregivers are being asked to keep an extra close eye out for choking hazards - to protect medical staff

The Canterbury District Health Board has noticed an increase in cases of children who've inhaled or swallowed small objects.
Paediatric surgeon Spencer Beasley says small children need extra supervision - especially with many families now juggling working at home.
He says the surgical procedure needed to save children who've inhaled small objects risks spreading Covid-19 to doctors and nurses.
Beasley says avoiding a trip to hospital means kids get to stay safe too - in their home bubble.
