    There's been a crash on a main arterial route through Waihi in Waikato


    A car and a campervan collided at the intersection of Parry Palm Avenue - State Highway 2 - and Wrigley St.

    St John says 2 people, one in a critical condition and the other seriously hurt, were airlifted to Waikato Hospital.

    Two other people in a moderate condition were treated at the scene.

    Firefighters had to free two of the injured people from one of the vehicles.

    The crash was reported to Police about 2.20 this afternoon.
