Eva Mendes says raising kids is like running some kind of bed-and-breakfast with "very drunk and aggressive guests"

The 'Place Beyond the Pines' star - who has Esmeralda, six, and Amada, four, with her partner Ryan Gosling - has quipped about her time in lockdown with her family, joking that it is like running an establishment because her children are like "angry and bossy" guests

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, she said: "Sometimes it feels like we are running some kind of bed-and-breakfast with very drunk and aggressive guests. We really do feel like we are working in a hotel, and the guests are angry and bossy and demand food brought to them. And by the time they go to sleep, we’re left to just clean up and talk about how they’ve treated us that day! When we feel like we’re just 'in it', like all parents do during these times, we remind ourselves that these are the good times, because we’re all together and we’re all safe right now."

Meanwhile, Eva is "trying to be a fun mum" whilst self-isolating.

The ‘Hitch’ star said: "This is me. By my kid. It’s pretty accurate. No I haven’t become a master baker or a good cook during quarantine. I haven’t seen a gym in two months. I haven’t written a novella. I’ve just been trying to be a fun mom and not lose my marbles. Sending so much love out there. Reading comments and happy to connect so let me know how you’re feeling. Amore, amore, amore. (sic)"

Eva has "a clear boundary" when it comes to her kids.

She wrote: "hi! I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids ... I'll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won't post pictures of our daily life. And since my children are still so little and don’t understand what posting their image really means, I don’t have their consent. And I won't post their image until they’re old enough to give me consent. As far as Ryan and I, it just works for us this way, To stay private. Sending loads of love to you at this time. (sic)"
