Katie Price has “plans” to marry Carl Woods

The 42-year-old television star began romancing the former ‘Love Island’ contestant earlier this year, but the pair are already smitten with one another, and pals of the stars say they wouldn’t be surprised if they made an engagement announcement before the end of this year

Katie and Carl are currently on holiday in the Maldives, and sources close to the couple say they’re looking forward to returning to the UK to “build a new life”.

An insider told The Sun Online: “Marrying Carl is a big part of her plans. During the holiday she has made clear to Carl she wants to build a new life with him and the kids.

"They've got ideas for business they want to work on around modelling, fitness and TV and it is exciting.”

Katie recently endured nasty injuries to her feet after she jumped from a wall whilst on holiday in Turkey and fractured both her heels, and sources have said she “may have given up” if it wasn’t for her beau.

They added: “The last few months have been awful, totally horrendous at times and if it wasn’t for the kids and for Carl Katie may have given up.

"But Katie thinks coming through it has made her stronger and she will be all the better for it.

"In a funny way it may be the best thing that ever happened to her because she has been able to take stock of what matters in life and what doesn’t."

However, a representative for Katie simply said any engagement news will be a “private matter”.

The rep explained: "I can confirm there are big plans for the new year - as to the engagement this is a private matter.”

If Katie and Carl do tie the knot, he will be her fourth husband after marriages to Peter Andre - with whom she has son Junior, 15, and daughter Princess, 13 - Alex Reid, and Kieran Hayler, with whom she has Jett, seven, and Bunny, six.

The star also has 18-year-old son Harvey from a previous relationship with Dwight Yorke.
