It's a satisfied New Zealand men's sevens coach heading into the final day of their competition in Tokyo

They've beaten Canada to advance to the semi-finals against Britain, meaning at worst they'll play off for bronze.

Clark Laidlaw says he's pleased with the shape of their game, although he has sent the players back to the village with some homework.

Britain overhauled a 21-point deficit to beat the United States 26-21.

Argentina will play Fiji in the other semi-final.
