A rowdy state house in Auckland's Avondale has triggered 72 noise complaints in just seven months, which is driving neighbours crazy

An Auckland couple say loud music, screaming and fighting from their neighbour on Eastdale Road is destroying their lives, leaving them with chronic insomnia and stress.

Some neighbours have slept in their car to escape the racket, and are pleading with authorities to act before the situation boils over.

The Kainga Ora tenant was served with an abatement notice last week, but officials can't seize her stereo due to Auckland's Covid-19 lockdown.
