A new role has been created at the Crusaders for former All Black Ryan Crotty

A new role has been created at the Crusaders for former All Black Ryan Crotty

The 36 year old - who played 156 matches for the franchise between 2009 and 2024 - has joined the team's staff.

Coach Rob Penney's outlined Crotty's new brief.

The Crusaders take on the Blues at Kirwee in rural Canterbury from 3.30pm this afternoon, in their first pre-season hit-out.

Argentina football great Lionel Messi wants to play in the 2026 World Cup, his national coach says - but it's too early to make any official announcements.
