Another arrest in Christchurch - as Police ramp up efforts to tackle a youth crime wave

Another arrest in Christchurch - as Police ramp up efforts to tackle a youth crime wave

A 17-year-old has handed himself into Police, in relation to an aggravated robbery on Wairakei Road on Sunday.

It's after two teenagers were arrested, after a dairy owner was stabbed in a broad-daylight robbery in Opawa on Tuesday.

Canterbury District Commander, Superintendent Tony Hill says this is the second arrest since launching a targeted youth crime operation yesterday.

He says police will continue to use all available resources to identify and locate youth offenders, and ensure they're held to account.
