    A man's pleaded guilty to causing the hunting death of an Otago man on Stewart Island


    21-year-old Jock Davies was in a party of nine at the South Lords River hunting block, when shot in July.

    He'd survived multiple battles with leukaemia years earlier.

    Ashburton man Paul Stevens has this morning admitted in in Invercargill court to carelessly using a firearm causing Davies death

    It carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison or a four thousand dollar fine.

    He was remanded on bail until his sentencing in March.
