A former priest at a Christchurch Catholic boys' school has admitted sexually abusing and indecently assaulting students

Open Justice reports Rowan Maxwell Donoghue has been convicted of historic offending at St Bede's College between 1996 and 2000.

The 69-year-old pleaded guilty in October.

A Summary of Facts shows Donoghue targeted boarders - particularly students home sick.

Donoghue has been remanded in custody for sentencing in May - after appearing in court this morning, in front of a number of victims.
