Kaley Cuoco has hailed sleeping in a separate bed to her fiance a "game changer"

The former Big Bang Theory star admitted she shares her sleeping space with some of her pet dogs, as well as her and Tom Pelphrey's two-year-old daughter Matilda, but her partner has vacated their room in order to get some peace.

Speaking on the Armchair Expert podcast, Kaley said: "He was like, 'I can't do this anymore.' And I'm like, 'I understand.'

"So he started sleeping in the guest room."

But while Kaley is happy with the arrangement now, she admitted she wasn't thrilled with the idea when Tom first suggested it during a couples' therapy session.

She explained: "At first, I'm like, 'What will people think?' And he's like, 'I never see you at night.' I don't see him. It's not our sexy time. We don't cuddle. We don't see each other at night.

"He goes, 'Why do you care?' And I sat there, and I went, 'God, I don't care.' And he goes, 'Let's try it.'

"[It is the] best decision we ever made."

The 40-year-old actress admitted she and the Ozark actor have very different sleeping schedules.

She said: "He writes at night. He reads, It's his quiet time.

"So he's up late and wakes up late on a non-working day. We established this from day one. I go to bed early, and I wake up early. We're totally on different sleeping schedules."

The Flight Attendant star was previously married to Ryan Sweeting and Karl Cook and she recently admitted she had vowed not to marry again after her second divorce, only to have a change of heart after she met Tom.

Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, she said: "I had like the crazy story when this is a handful of years ago, when I said that I was going through my divorce... it was the premiere of the second season of Flight Attendant.

"I woke up that morning, I was so depressed and so sad I couldn't even breathe, and I was just lying on the floor. I literally thought I was gonna die, I really did. I said, 'What am I doing?' And it was like the worst morning of my life, but knowing the night was coming, it was supposed to be the best night of my life. It's so crazy those things sometimes happen at the same time.

"I couldn't get up. I'm like, 'I can't go. I can't go anywhere.' I just blew up my life. My life's over. I truly thought that.

"[I thought I was] never getting married again, never gonna have kids.

"I knew when I was lying on that floor in my house, I thought, 'Oh my God, this is what they talk about. This is the lowest point I could get'.

That's, like, supposed to be the best night ever of my career, and I literally saw my soul leave my body. It still chokes me up because I can remember it so clearly, but it made me a whole new person."

And Kaley has no regrets about her change of heart, after getting engaged to Tom, 43, in August 2024.

She said: "You know what, guys, sometimes you just change your mind and that's okay. You probably didn't know I was lying on the floor before my premiere, ready to die ... But it takes a long time to figure that out and a lot of forgiveness."
