    History has repeated for cyclist Laurence Pithie in a World Tour race


    The 23-year-old Cantabrian's finished second on stage two of the 2026 Paris-Nice .

    He's been pipped by Germany's Max Kanter in a bunch sprint into Montargis , south of the French capital.

    Pithie achieved the same result on the same stage of the 2024 edition.

    This morning's result leaves him third overall, six seconds down on leading American Luke Lamperti.
