Daryl Mitchell will become New Zealand's newest test cricketer when the second cricket test against England starts tomorrow

The Northern Districts allrounder was called into the squad yesterday to replace the crocked Colin De Grandhomme and has now been confirmed to debut.

Batsman Ross Taylor says he's pleased for Mitchell.

A decision on whether Lockie Ferguson or Matt Henry replaces the injured Trent Boult will be made prior to the toss.
