One person has been seriously injured by a falling tree in Dunedin

One person has been seriously injured by a falling tree in Dunedin

Today's wild winds have caused chaos - bringing down trees and power lines across the city.

St John says they were called to Albany Street just before 4.

They says one person has been taken to Dunedin hospiital in serious condition.

The Otago Daily Times says another tree has fallen on a house in Portobello - and a number of roads were temporarily blocked.
