Fonterra's on high alert in Australia as the bushfires rage on and drought continues

The dairy giant says so far its factories and farmers have been untouched by the fires which continue to bring devastation to parts of Victoria and New South Wales.

But, Fonterra Australia managing director Rene Dedoncker says they're monitoring the situation to ensure its people and farmers are safe.

He says they're also talking to organisations about how they can help in the form of logistics, transport and warehousing.

The company's already donated milk powder to its charity partner Foodbank to add to emergency relief packs.
