The Government's expecting fuel prices to continue to plunge as COVID-19 puts a squeeze on oil prices

The Government's expecting fuel prices to continue to plunge as COVID-19 puts a squeeze on oil prices

Resources and Energy Minister Megan Woods says she's told Kiwi oil executives this is a timely test to see how competitive our our fuel market is.

She says prices can go up quickly - so it's about ensuring the same happens in reverse.

Woods says she'll be keeping a watchful eye to check that motorists are seeing the same downward movement of prices - as they see when the price of crude goes up.
