Police are asking for sightings of a suspicious man, who's reported to have approached a 10-year-old girl in Mapua, Nelson

The girl was walking on Aranui Road just after 4.30pm yesterday, when a man in a black four-wheel-drive tried to entice her into the car.
She refused and made it safely home.
The man's described as being in his 40's with pale skin, curly red hair and of a thin build.
