A health commentator says critics have been too harsh about the vaccine rollout

A health commentator says critics have been too harsh about the vaccine rollout

More than half a million New Zealanders have received the vaccine and more than 700 thousand have been given at least one dose.

Ian Powell says the pandemic was unprecedented and the government has coped well.

Mr Powell says the government can't control everything.

He says pharmaceutical companies aren't as keen to provide vaccines to New Zealand because we're a small market.
