The Black Caps appear optimistic Covid-stricken batsman Finn Allen may take some part in the upcoming five Twenty20s in Bangladesh

The Black Caps appear optimistic Covid-stricken batsman Finn Allen may take some part in the upcoming five Twenty20s in Bangladesh

Allen's currently quarantining in Dhaka, but it's hoped he may be able to rejoin the squad in seven to ten days time, if recovered.

Coach Gary Stead - who's sitting out the tour - says with the series starting next week, it's hoped Allen can return by the back end of the series.

With quarantining and vaccine guidelines preventing a like-for-like replacement, pace bowler Matt Henry will join the squad as cover.
