Sea conditions are rough on Waikato's west coast -- as the search continues for a Waikato family not seen for four days

Sea conditions are rough on Waikato's west coast -- as the search continues for a Waikato family not seen for four days

A ground and aerial search is resuming this morning for Thomas Philips and his three young children, who were last seen at the coastal settlement of Marokopa on Saturday.

Fire and Emergency has continued to scour the area overnight, using drones equipped with thermal imaging technology.

MetService forecaster Dan Corrigan says weather conditions are relatively settled on land -- but sea conditions are rough.
