The Green Party says expanding a drug harm reduction programme will lead to better community wellbeing

The Green Party says expanding a drug harm reduction programme will lead to better community wellbeing

Te Ara Oranga has been set up in the eastern Bay of Plenty, to fight methamphetamine and drug-related crime.

It gives meth users the opportunity to get culturally-appropriate therapy ... specially tailored for the local community.

Green drug law reform spokesperson Chloe Swarbrick says it's good bang for buck.

She says there's no programme more transformative than this one, and it has the best return on investment out of any programme like it.
