A promising teen motorsport driver was one of two who died in a crash in Northland on Sunday

The driver and co-driver died during the Arcadia Road Rallysprint in Paparoa.

A serious crash investigator says the car plunged into a swollen river and was submerged.

It will be investigated by WorkSafe and MotorSport NZ.

Tributes show 15-year-old Brooklyn Horan was driving - assisted by 35-year-old co-driver, Tyson Jemmett.
