    An investigation is underway into the engine issue which caused an Air New Zealand flight between Wellington and Sydney, to divert to Auckland


    The plane, which took off just before 3 yesterday afternoon, experienced the issue an hour into the flight - before landing safely in Auckland before just before 5:30pm.

    Flight Operations Head Hugh Pearce, says customers were rebooked on the next available service to Sydney.
