    The death of a 53-year-old Lower Hutt woman's being described as unexplained, after she was assaulted walking home over a week ago


    Lillian Wharton died from her injuries in Wellington Hospital on Thursday.

    She was assaulted while walking home to Waiwhetu Road from a friend's house with others known to her.

    A man's been charged with assault, but Police are asking for sightings of two women, one with a pram, and a man in the area on Saturday December 14 between 8-10pm, to help them piece together what happened.
