Wellington Council is asking residents to keep an eye out and report any incidents of flooding

Heavy rain has caused surface flooding in the city - the worst affected areas being Kilbirnie, Island Bay, Berhampore and Karori.

Forecasts show the rain is easing but people are still being warned to be careful.
