Closures will continue overnight on State Highway 15, near Whangarei, as Police investigate the unexplained death of a motorcyclist

The body was found in a creek, close to State Highway 15 this morning, and Police say his motorbike was found on the side of the road.

The highway's expected to remain closed into tomorrow afternoon between Maungatapere and Otaika, with diversions via Whangarei.

Residents needing access should approach staff at the cordon.
