Deciding to retire from international bowls has proven difficult for two-time world champion Val Smith

Deciding to retire from international bowls has proven difficult for two-time world champion Val Smith

The 59-year-old is farewelling the top level after a record 667 matches for New Zealand.

Smith is still keen for a roll-up any time, but international competition has become harder of late.
