New Zealand's top women's netballers will now get the chance at long-range shots from outside the circle

New Zealand's top women's netballers will now get the chance at long-range shots from outside the circle

The ANZ Premiership has announced it will introduce two-point shots this season.

It follows Australian Super Netball, which has had a two-point shot since 2020, while England's Netball Super League is also bringing two-pointers in this year.

The move is one of four rule changes announced by Netball New Zealand for the competition in 2025.

Also being introduced is a designated space for head coaches in front of their team's bench, one timeout per half for each team, and microphones on umpires to broadcast in-stadium audio of their communications.
