Multiple Tauranga Boys' College students have been stung with parking fines - after a series of council ticketing blitzes

Multiple Tauranga Boys' College students have been stung with parking fines - after a series of council ticketing blitzes

One mother told the Herald, Tauranga City Council ticketed about 40 students parked on 13th Avenue between February 12th and 28th - and about 30 between March 3rd and 8th.

The council says the road's had 120-minute parking limits for decades to keep it accessible to those not visiting the school.

But parents says public transport can be unreliable for students coming from out of town - and are calling for a shift to all-day parking.
