An early morning ram raid in Lower Hutt

An early morning ram raid in Lower Hutt

Police say just after 12.30am, a car was used to burgle a business in the suburb of Waterloo.

Images on social media show the front of a Four Square boarded up.

The alleged offenders fled, and their vehicle was found in Moera a short time later.

Three people have already been taken into custody - they were tracked to a nearby property.

One is a 21-year-old man who'll appear in the Hutt Valley District Court today charged with burglary, taking a car, and driving while disqualified.

Two others will appear in the Youth Court.
