Police are still searching for the parents of a baby found dead in an Auckland recycling plant four years ago, despite releasing her body

A burial for Baby Anahera, as she's been named by the community, will take place next month.

Officers have been working with the Coroner so she can be laid to rest.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard says despite extensive inquiries, they've been unable to identify her parents, and still want to resolve the case.

He says it's not too late for the baby's mother or family, or anyone with information, to come forward.
