    Severe wet weather is expected to return to the South Island's West Coastm by Tuesday


    MetService forecasts heavy rain and strong winds, throughout the western and northern parts of the country.

    Conditions are predicted to last from late Monday to early Wednesday.

    Meteorologist Sarah Haddonm says Nelson and Tasman could face an intense blitz of rain.

    She says it won't linger, but the rainfall will be significant.
