Staff in Police Minister Mark Mitchell's electorate office responded to an email accusing Jevon McSkimming of sexual abuse

Staff in Police Minister Mark Mitchell's electorate office responded to an email accusing Jevon McSkimming of sexual abuse

An IPCA report released last week revealed serious misconduct at the highest level of police in its handling of allegations against the then Deputy Police Commissioner.

The Police Minister says he first learned of the allegations in December last year and his office was kept in the dark at the behest of former Police Commissioner Andrew Coster.

However the Herald has revealed, in January last year an office staffer responded to one of the emails - saying it would be forwarded to Mitchell's parliamentary office.

The Minister says he is satisfied with how his team at the electorate office acted.
