Another warm start after yesterday's record breaking temperatures, but relief is on its way

Another warm start after yesterday's record breaking temperatures, but relief is on its way

Auckland had its hottest November day on record, while Christchurch recorded back to back days exceeding 30-degrees.

Hastings locked in its highest November temperature in at least 60 years - reaching 33 degrees.

MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris says high temperatures could come through again today.

But he says Saturday will bring some reprieve, as we lose a bit of humidity - especially in the upper North Island.
