E tu short-haul crew members will down tools on December 18 - unless an agreement's reached.

An original strike notice next Monday covering three crew divisions, has been withdrawn - after negotiations were completed for other crew.

Air New Zealand Chief People Officer, Nikki Dines, says discussions with the short haul crew are constructive, and they're focused on reaching an agreement.

Their rescheduled strike would affect inter-city, trans-Tasman, and Pacific flights.
