High jumper Hamish Kerr has been awarded the Lonsdale Cup for 2025

High jumper Hamish Kerr has been awarded the Lonsdale Cup for 2025

The New Zealand Olympic Committee presents the prize to an athlete, or team, that's made the biggest contribution to an Olympic or Commonwealth sport in a calendar year.

Kerr won the World Championships and Diamond League crown in 2025, so joins the likes of Sir Peter Snell and Dame Valerie Adams on the trophy.

The Lonsdale Cup recognises leadership, integrity and service to the sporting whanau, as well as athletic excellence.
