Auckland's Mayor says 2026 will be transformational for the city

Auckland's Mayor says 2026 will be transformational for the city

Wayne Brown says this year will bring the City Rail Link, more control of transport operator, AT - and more Chinese visitors arriving via the Southern Link commercial flight route.

Brown says the council will also work through plan change 120, which allows more housing near key transport links.

He says it will be a game changer.

Brown says it will change Auckland from being the world's largest suburb - to being a city with proper buildings near new transport links.
