Police are reminding the people to take care during what's likely to be a busy day on holiday highways today

At least sixteen people have died in crashes since New Year's Day.

Police say they expect the roads in and out of Raglan to be particularly busy for most of the day, as the three-day Soundsplash Music Festival wraps up.

Senior Sergeant David Hall says they're expecting to see a swell in the number of cars on the open road.

He says Police want to see good driving behaviour so everyone can get home safely.
