Only the men's fixture at Christchurch's Hagley Oval saw a result, as Canterbury thrashed the Wellington Firebirds by eight wickets.

Elsewhere in the one-day competition, the game at Saxton Oval in Nelson saw just 10 balls of action, with the Otago Volts making eight for none before play was finally called off against the Central Stags.
