Waikato's District Commander has been found to have bullied a senior officer in work meetings

Open Justice reports complaints were made against Superintendent Bruce Bird for yelling and berating an officer on two separate occasions.

The staffer reported feeling belittled and disrespected after the meetings.

The police watchdog's ruled Bird's behaviour and his style of management was unreasonable and unacceptable.

Police won't comment on whether he'll face any disciplinary action -- the organisation's website still names him as Waikato's District Commander.
