    Kiwis team doctor Greg Macleod claims a gap remains in rugby league when dealing with head knocks

    That comes after confirmation Tongan forward Eli Katoa will miss the next NRL campaign with the Melbourne Storm after suffering repeated concussions against New Zealand this month.

    The side's doctors declared Katoa fit, but hadn't seen broadcast footage of a pre-match collision with a teammate.

    Macleod says protocols during a game must extend.
