Property resale performance across the country is at its softest point since 2013

Property resale performance across the country is at its softest point since 2013

Cotality NZ's Pain and Gain Report finds the number of properties resold for more than their original purchase price has fallen from 89.4 percent in Q2 - to 87.8 percent in Q3.

Chief Property Economist Kelvin Davidson says Auckland stands out among the main centres - as recording the highest proportion of losses.

He says that probably reflects apartments to some extent, because they re-sell for losses more often than houses - and Auckland has a lot of apartments.
