Public housing advocates says the Government has a clear mandate to address Aotearoa's housing crisis

Public housing advocates says the Government has a clear mandate to address Aotearoa's housing crisis

A Public Housing Futures poll finds 78 percent of New Zealanders want the Government to support construction jobs by building state housing at scale.

This was felt across the political spectrum - with a majority in favour across each of the coalition party bases.

Campaigner Vanessa Cole says communities want real action.

She says we don't want the Government washing its hands of the responsibility to build homes - it has both the scale and resources to put money into building the homes we need.
