    Tour of Southland leader Tom Sexton is crediting his home race as his career inspiration


    The Invercargill-bred cyclist claimed the second stage in a group sprint, and will don the orange jersey for stage three.

    Sexton is grateful for the event, albeit with this edition postponed from November to January.



    148 kilometres of riding from Riverton to Te Anau starts at 10am.
