There were a whopping 42 turnovers across the match in which 11 tries were scored.
Assistant coach James Marshall says of particular concern was how often the Chiefs reefed the ball away at a ruck.
The Crusaders bid to improve in that area won't include prop Tamaiti Williams.
He's been hit with a three week ban for a reckless or dangerous ruck clean out during the Chiefs match.
However, that can be reduced to two matches if Williams takes part in a World Rugby coaching intervention programme.
