The Police watchdog's found officers were justified in the force used against a detained woman - after a brawl outside a central Wellington swimming pool

The Police watchdog's found officers were justified in the force used against a detained woman - after a brawl outside a central Wellington swimming pool

In October last year, police were called to a report about 12 young men fighting in the Freyburg Pool car park.

A woman repeatedly challenged Police, despite warnings - before being arrested for obstruction.

She claims an officer choked her against a window.

The Independent Police Conduct Authority has found the officer believed she was about to spit on him, and turned her head away.
